As a (Senior) Associate, you will conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with applicable professional standards. Working as part of an experienced audit team, you will take responsibility for assigned audit procedures while also working independently and supporting less experienced colleagues.
The role involves contributing to the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and consulting engagements. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients at all levels is an important part of the position, helping to ensure a high level of client satisfaction while representing Grant Thornton Aruba professionally in the field.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, auditing financial statements, reviewing internal control processes and systems, identifying relevant findings, and contributing to the overall quality and timely completion of engagements.
Education, experience and qualifications:
- You have a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of accounting and/or auditing;
- You have proven knowledge and minimal 3 years of experience in auditing;
- You are IT savvy;
- You have your RA, AA, ACCA or CPA certification or you are willing to obtain it in the near future;
- You are self-motivated, confident, and a hardworking individual, who enjoys working within a team;
- You can work and deliver under pressure and within tight deadlines;
- You have a strong written and verbal proficiency in English, command of Dutch and/or Papiamento would be a pre;
- You are enthusiastic, ambitious and have great analytical skills. You are also able to be critical and curious;
- You have a strong personality
- You are able to review your work and others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
