As a (Senior) Associate you conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards. You perform procedures under the supervision of a more experienced auditor but are expected to work independently and guide less experienced auditors’ trainees. You’ll be assisted in the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, or consulting services. You maintain excellent working relationships with clients at all levels, to enhance customer satisfaction. You are the face of Grant Thornton Aruba in the field. Tasks and responsibilities are, but are not limited to auditing the financial statements, reviewing internal control processes and system, etc.
Education, experience and qualifications:
- You have a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of accounting and/or auditing;
- You have proven knowledge and minimal 2 years of experience in auditing;
- You are IT savvy;
- You have your RA, AA, ACCA or CPA certification or you are willing to obtain it in the near future;
- You are self-motivated, confident, and hardworking individual, who enjoys working within a team;
- You can work and deliver under pressure and within tight deadlines;
- You have a strong written and verbal proficiency in English, command of Dutch would be a pre;
- You are enthusiastic, ambitious and have great analytical skills. You are also able to be critical and curious;
- You have a strong personality and can work well in teams.
- You are able to review your work and others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
