Herbert van Elferen is an experienced, certified public auditor (RA) who has been working for more than 20 years for the firm. During this period, he gained a lot of experience in performing high quality external audits, internal audits and assurance related services for various relations; relations that range from being small family-owned businesses up till large multinational corporations. Relations that are active in a wide variety of industries, amongst which financial institutions (banks, insurance companies), telcos, hotels, wholesale, retail, utilities, healthcare, foundations, education and government related entities.
Over the years, Herbert has gained accumulated extensive knowledge in, amongst others, audit and assurance related services, financial reporting, and feasibility studies. Moreover, Herbert has gained extensive experience in the preparation of financial models for clients in a wide variety of industries. As part of the Grant Thornton Dutch Caribbean Technical Office he functions as Head of Quality Control and is Head of Assurance for the Aruba practice. Herbert is fluent in Dutch and English and also has a good understanding of Spanish, Portuguese and Papiamento.
